Solar Space Heating
Taking solar water heating to the next level.
Integrating Solar Heating and Forced Air Heating Systems
Provide space heating by utilizing the sun's energy and your pre-existing forced air ventilation and ductwork. In this application, the solar heated water is pumped into a liquid to air heat exchanger (coil) that is installed in the air duct. The system uses a thermostat and sensors to pump the hot water into the coil when the building needs heat and when the temperature of the solar heated water is sufficiently high. As the air is moved through the heat exchanger it is warmed and delivered via the ductwork.
Integrating Solar Heating and Radiant Floor Heating
Enjoy the comfort and warmth of radiant floor heating compliments of solar energy. In this application, the solar heated water is pumped through your radiant floor heating system. Like the solar air heating system, controls and thermostats help you control your comfort while the sun helps control your costs. In most cases, a highly efficient water heater provides backup heating and ensures a warm home without sacrifice at all times.

Your investment
Solar heating systems are designed to offset 40 – 50% of your home or facility's heating costs. We can also design systems to heat certain areas of your home or building. Typical time to payback is between 5 – 10 years. System size and costs vary significantly based on your needs, but will often range from $8,000 to $20,000. Like solar water heating systems, your solar investment will continue to produce energy and save money for another 25 years!
